If you do find yourself in a situation where you needed to have a CD inside a drive to do whatever you had to do, I would recommend you check out two programs on this site: [ http://www.slysoft.com/en/ ] You'll want to look at CloneDVD and VirtualClonedrive. With CloneDVD (or CloneCD) and VirtualClonedrive. You'll be able to create "virtual" CD/DVD drives with Virtual CloneDrive, and then mount an "Image" of whatever disc you need to have running with either CloneDVD or CloneCD. There are other software titles out there who will do the same thing, but I have had good luck with these.
